Hello there, and welcome to my site! I am an art historian, educator, and novelist.
Full-time, I am an Assistant Professor of Humanities at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in Overland Park, KS where I teach courses in Humanities, Art History, and Classical Mythology.
I am working toward publishing my first novel, ORACLES, the first book in a family saga trilogy. This magical realist, book club fiction novel merges my academic interests with my creative side.
My art historical research focus is in modern art history, specifically 20th century murals. I graduated with my Ph.D. from Florida State University in 2022.
I live in Kansas City, MO with my family, and we enjoy weekend trips to art museums and discovering local murals together. In my free time, I love to cook, devour books, jog in my neighborhood, and hang out with my kids.
